Enjoy Merzouga Camel Trek
This activity is clearly, and rightly so, on many “wish lists”. I made the trip in January which is off-season. Yet there were so many camels and riders that I remembered a rush hour in a big city.
We reached the edge of Erg Chebbi and found many camels on the ground waiting for us. With help, I got on my camel. Then the “fun” started. When the camel stood up, he wasn’t sure whether it was going to land on its head or its tail. Luckily there was a very secure “T” bar attached to the saddle to hold me in.
We then spent the next half hour walking about a mile through the dunes. From the camel’s rocking gait, it quickly became clear why the camel is known as the “ship of the desert”. We finally stopped at the foot of a dune. There we descend and climb to its top. The camel guides lifted the blankets/mats that were used to cover the camel saddles and placed them on the sand so that we could sit down. We spent the next hour taking photos and enjoying each other’s company. The guides would also carry our cameras/smartphones to the west side of the dune and take individual and group photos.
I really like the Sunset Camel Trek experience

Camel Trekking in Merzouga
I really enjoyed the time spent among the staff who carefully organized the entire activity. The sunset camel trek is an unforgettable experience, the dinner was perfect, the after dinner program was one of the best moments we spent in the night desert which brought the real atmosphere to the whole program. The tents were also well located and furnished. Thanks once again to the staff and others, I highly recommend it!

Sunset Camel ride Erg Chebbi
From the start, the contact with the travel agent was good, informative, with a quick response, and in 3 ways. By Marrakech Tour Company, direct email or by WhatsApp. Hassan was always there to guide and answer my questions. Pick up, drop off, where and when everything is delivered on time. He said our driver and guide was our best guide on all of our tours! The pace of the visit and the activity was perfect. The camel ride was amazing. Sunset and sunrise in the Sahara are memorable. The camp was total glamping. I chose the luxury (medium) category via MTC. This agency is very professional and friendly. When I picked them on MTC they only had 10 reviews but they have their own website and also positive reviews on TripAdvisor. Having to verify that they are in good faith, I am happy to have chosen them. You won’t go wrong if you choose them. I, without reservation, would use them again.
